A lot of people seem to underestimate my determination concerning the Europe-project. However, many of them change their mind, when they hear what I have already done:

Europe is already my second one!

In 2010 after having finished my interior design apprenticeship in Stuttgart, I crossed the United States of America by bicycle.
Even on the North American continent, I managed the whole distance from coast to coast without interruption by using nothing but my mountainbike. Back then I connected the cities New York and San Francisco alone, covering a distance of more than 6500 km (4000 miles) through 11 US-States.
In consequence of an American visa permitting only a 90 day stay, I had a strict time limit that made my trip through America a race against time.

Nevertheless, I was very scrupulous with my crossing, starting and ending with my rear and front tire in the ocean and prefering more interesting paths to the easier ones. Among others I crossed the Rocky Mountains on the Coloradotrail at an altitude of up to over 3800m (12600 ft) and cycled almost 700 km (430 miles) across the desert of Nevada.
Back then a big lack of self-confidence after my apprenticeship was the reason for my trip.

What‘s next?

I have spent the past two years after my America trip studying sustainable design in Cologne. During the last semester, however, I have thought a lot about my life – especially my future. In doing so it has become more and more clear to me, that my design studies are leading me in a direction that I cannot imagine for my future.
To be successful as a designer one has to live one‘s profession, busying oneself mainly with design, even in one‘s spare time.

I am not live for this profession. I am living for other visions and dreams that I want to realize in my life. That‘s why I decided to adjust my future to these visions.
As my studies demand too much time and money, I am currently on a break from my studies and intend to completely break off my studies.

By crossing the United States, I managed to fulfill my first vision. My second one is about to be realized and can be followed on this website.
My dream is to earn my money by fulfilling these visions. I am aware that this won‘t be a typical career and still less an easy one. But I will do my utmost to go for it, having realized that this career will make me happy.
